Blue Ion wants interns. Lots of interns. We're nearby the CofC campus.
Like ten steps away. Seriously! You're in class to learn - come to us and put it in practice.

The Job
Expect

Great team of Blue Ion employees and
partners that are among the
best in the business.

Flexible work schedule. Our only solid
requirement is that you're here around
15 hours a week.

The baddest damn office space
in all of Charleston.

Do you collect things? Paint? Have you cut out photos of your friends and put different heads on them and posted them online? Can you play guitar? Ever designed a t-shirt? Do you draw during class? We're looking for some sort of creative spark, even if it still needs to be nurtured. It's in all of our natures here, and we want it to be in yours, too.

Are you into culture and social trends? Are you interested in how they would fit into marketing? Ever wonder how some of the coolest sites you've seen on the web were created? You'll see and learn it first-hand here. We've got some digital rockstars that would love to show you the ropes if you have the drive to learn.

Have you posted clever status updates to Facebook? Got a Twitter account? YouTube videos espousing your love of @JustinBieber?
We're looking for your willingness to share experiences and ideas with others, no matter how #embarrassing. We've got a blog that is constantly hungry for a stream of information. We'd <3 you to be a part of feeding it and keeping it happy.

Ever started anything new? Taken a stab at a website? Organized a group of friends and like-minded individuals to do something? While there is always something going on, there are going to be occasions when you have a bit of downtime. We'd like you to pick up something on your own and push it forward. Poke around on our clients' websites and suggest an enhancement - we love when you do this, and you get the satisfaction of seeing it come to life from your initial recommendation.

Being a Green Ion is awesome and all, but the job runs the gamut of glamorous to tedious. We'll try our very best to plug you into everything we do, but let's face it... you'll occasionally be asked to grab coffee and run errands for the team, and we've all had to step up to the plate from time to time. There are even bikes hung up on the wall downstairs to facilitate your travel. Just be gentle with them.

Depending upon your interest and skills, we may have you involved with industry research, testing out new tools/applications, helping pull together creative materials, assembling presentations, beta testing new work, and even a bit of publishing mixed in. It's all good stuff, and you get to work directly with the rest of the team to put it together and have a hand in it all.

Yes, it's true - all good things eventually come to an end. At the close of your Green Ion internship, we'll take a walk back through time and reflect on what you've done and your personal progress during your time at Blue Ion. Heck, we owe you that much for all the free work. You'll be a changed person at the end of this, and thanks to this handy review form, it'll be documented as well. Play your cards right, and we'll even throw in references for future jobs.

Rule 1: The video is mandatory. Don't have a camera? Beg, borrow, but don't steal. There's a fruit company directly below us that has tons of computers with webcams built into the screens. Be resourceful. Bear in mind that we fully expect the video project to weed out many applicants. This is ok - we only want people who are committed. And if you've read this far down the page, you already knew that.

Rule 2: Not everyone will get into Green Ion. This isn't a rule so much as a statement. We've got a limited number of openings, and we're looking to fill gaps in coverage at this point more than numbers. Don't worry - we keep all submissions on file. Though we do ask that you resubmit your info once each semester, as schedules change and you may have new times available to come in.

Rule 3: We reserve the right to create more rules. So there.
